Turkey Visa for Mexican Passport Holders Living in Dubai

The rule in one line: your Mexican passport qualifies you for the Turkey e-Visa on its own — no third-country visa, no UAE residence condition. It is worth knowing this, because the conditional route that gets so much attention online does not apply to you.

Several nationalities — Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Filipino — can only use the Turkey e-Visa if they already hold a valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit. Mexican passport holders are not subject to that condition. You apply online by nationality and receive a 30-day single-entry e-Visa. Your UAE residence visa matters only for leaving and re-entering Dubai, not for Turkey e-Visa eligibility.

The e-Visa is a short online form and a card payment — no document uploads.

Carry a printed copy of the e-Visa with your passport, plus your valid UAE residence visa, a return or onward flight booking, and proof of accommodation. If your trip involves entering Turkey more than once, remember the online e-Visa is single-entry — plan for the mission visa instead.

• Thinking you need a Schengen or US visa first. Mexicans qualify for the Turkey e-Visa by nationality — that condition applies to other passports, not yours.
• Choosing single-entry for a multi-leg trip. If you plan to stop in Istanbul on the way to Europe and again on the way back, the online single-entry e-Visa will not cover the second entry — use the 90-day multiple-entry mission visa.
• Name or passport-number mismatches. Copy every detail exactly from the passport data page; a single error can invalidate the e-Visa at immigration.
• Letting the UAE residence visa lapse. It is not part of e-Visa eligibility, but you need it to depart from and return to Dubai.
• Using a copycat website instead of evisa.gov.tr, which charges several times the official fee.
