From 31 July 2026, flydubai operates three weekly flights between Dubai International (DXB) Terminal 3 and Budapest, departing on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with the service increasing to daily from 25 October 2026. The route is flown with a Boeing 737 and offered as part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, which lets passengers travel on a single ticket with through-checked baggage, earn and redeem Emirates Skywards Miles, and connect across both airlines’ networks through Dubai. Budapest first joined flydubai’s network in 2021.
“The resumption of our Budapest service reaffirms our long-term investment in Hungary and reflects the strong economic and cultural ties between our two nations. Budapest remains one of our most strategic European markets,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai.
What it means for travellers
The resumption restores a direct Dubai–Budapest link on a carrier whose network now exceeds 120 destinations, and the phased build-up means passengers move from three weekly flights to a daily service by late October 2026. At the time of the announcement, flydubai listed return fares from Dubai starting at AED 2,987 in Economy Class and AED 15,585 in Business Class, with return fares from Budapest starting at HUF 182,900 in Economy and HUF 802,400 in Business Class; fares change over time and current pricing is on flydubai’s official channels. Budapest is in the Schengen Area, so travellers should confirm their visa position before booking.
