Emirates Adds Four Weekly Dubai–Accra Flights — July 2026

From 12 July 2026, Emirates increases its Dubai (DXB)–Accra service to 11 flights a week, adding four weekly rotations operated by the Boeing 777-300ER.

Emirates will add four weekly flights between Dubai (DXB) and Accra from 12 July 2026, taking its service to Ghana to 11 flights a week. The additional rotations complement the airline’s existing daily operation and are flown by a Boeing 777-300ER, with the new departures running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

From 12 July 2026, the additional service operates as flight EK789, departing Dubai at 03:30 and arriving in Accra at 07:40 local time; the return, EK790, leaves Accra at 10:25 and lands in Dubai at 22:40. The new flights run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and are operated by a Boeing 777-300ER configured with 8 First Class suites, 42 lie-flat Business Class seats and 304 seats in Economy. They complement Emirates’ existing daily Dubai–Accra service, taking the airline’s Ghana schedule to 11 flights a week.

The increase continues a steady build-up on the route. Emirates resumed flights to Accra in September 2020, then operating three times a week, and has served Ghana for more than two decades. The airline says the extra flights respond to sustained year-round demand and high seat occupancy, and that the additional widebody capacity will also expand Emirates SkyCargo bellyhold space for Ghanaian exports such as fresh produce.

What it means for travellers

For travellers based in the UAE, the extra flights add more day-of-week options on the Dubai–Accra route and strengthen onward connections through Dubai, which Emirates links to around 140 destinations worldwide. Details and booking are available through Emirates’ official channels.

Travellers heading to Accra from the UAE can review the visa requirements for Ghana before they book.
