Turkey Visa for Kenyan Passport Holders Living in Dubai

The rule in one line: Kenyan passport holders use a sticker visa through the Türkiye Consulate in Dubai — there is no online e-Visa for Kenyan nationals. This is the single most important thing to get right, because starting on the e-Visa portal would waste time and end without a visa.

Turkey offers the online e-Visa only to nationalities on its e-Visa eligible list. Kenya is not on that list, so the online route is closed to Kenyan passport holders regardless of where they live or what other visas they hold. A UAE residence visa does not open an e-Visa route for Kenyan nationals — it is only your basis for leaving and returning to Dubai. The route that does work is the sticker visa, described below.

The sticker visa is applied for in person. You book an appointment, submit your passport with a full document set, and collect the passport once the visa is issued.

Because the sticker visa takes several working days, apply well ahead of your intended travel — do not book non-refundable flights before the visa is issued.

• Trying to apply for an e-Visa. There is no e-Visa for Kenyan nationals — the online portal will not issue one, and time spent there is time lost before a consulate appointment.
• Assuming a UAE residence visa creates an online shortcut. It does not — it is your basis for leaving and returning to Dubai, not a Turkey visa route.
• Leaving the application too late. The sticker visa needs an appointment and several working days; book early, especially in peak travel seasons.
• Submitting an incomplete document set. Missing a bank statement, employment letter or accommodation proof is the most common cause of delay.
• Applying with a passport that has less than six months validity. Renew first through the Kenyan mission if needed.
