For Egyptian passport holders, the answer is straightforward: you need a Colombia visa, and you must obtain it before you travel. Egypt is not on Colombia’s visa-free list of nationalities, and Colombia does not offer a visa-on-arrival to anyone. The only path for an ordinary Egyptian passport is the online visa, applied for in advance.

This is the single most common point of confusion for Egyptian travellers, because a similar-sounding rule does help other nationalities.
