How This Affects UAE Residents
If you are a UAE resident planning to visit any Schengen country — France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, or any other member state — your visa application fee will increase by EUR 10 from June 2026. VFS Global and TLS Contact service charges in Dubai are not included in this increase and remain at their current levels.
Applications submitted before 11 June 2026 will be processed at the current EUR 80 rate, regardless of when the decision is made. If you are planning summer travel to Europe, submitting your application in April or May could save you EUR 10 per applicant.
Key Points for Dubai Applicants
- Submit your Schengen application before 11 June 2026 to lock in the EUR 80 fee.
- The increase applies equally to all 29 Schengen states — no country charges more or less.
- VFS Global and TLS Contact service charges are separate and unchanged.
- Family applications (2 adults + 2 children aged 6–11) will cost EUR 20 more total under the new fees.
OraVisa Recommendation
If you have upcoming summer travel to Europe, we recommend starting your visa application process now. Schengen visa appointments through VFS Global in Dubai typically have a 2–3 week wait during peak season, so booking early ensures you submit at the current rate and avoid last-minute appointment shortages.
